LGP Qua Biography: LGP Qua, whose full name was Qidere Johnson, was an American rapper who passed away on May 12, 2025, at the age of 30 in Philadelphia. He was shot around 4:40 p.m. in the Juanita Park neighborhood and tragically killed on Mother’s Day. Known for being outspoken against gun violence and for promoting positivity through his music, his death shocked the community. After the shooting, he was hospitalized but was declared dead before 5 p.m.
The police are currently searching for three individuals connected to the murder and are offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
Born in 1995 in the United States, LGP Qua was known as the “Voice of the Youth.” He gained recognition not just for his music but also for his community work. In 2018, he was honored by the city and state at his former school, Edward T. Steel Elementary, and he donated $10,000 in collaboration with Puma to support local initiatives.
