Rami Heuberger, Israeli actor and director, has passed away at the age of 61 after a prolonged battle with cancer. He died on August 28, 2025, in a Tel Aviv hospital.
He born on October 12, 1963, in Tel Aviv, Heuberger began his acting journey at the Nissan Nativ Acting Studio. He gained national fame in the early 1990s as a cast member of the satirical sketch comedy show Hahamishia Hakamerit, which aired from 1993 to 1997.
His filmography includes notable roles in Steven Spielberg’s Schindler’s List (1993), the 2023 biopic Golda, and the internationally acclaimed series In Therapy. He also starred in the cult classic Israeli film Operation Grandma (1999) and appeared in The Bourgeoisie (2000).
Heuberger was deeply involved in Israeli theater, performing in productions such as Macbeth, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Hamlet, and Scenes from a Marriage, which he also directed in 2007.
He was a father to four children from two marriages. He is survived by his children and his partner, artist Dana Yahalomi. He had two children from his first marriage, and two children from his second marriage.
