Influencer Emilie Kiser has made her return to TikTok after a four-month hiatus following the devastating loss of her 3-year-old son, Trigg. The 26-year-old social media personality shared a heartfelt video addressing her grief and expressing her nervousness about re-engaging with her online community.
Emilie Kiser said, “I hope that in coming back and sharing a little bit of what I choose to, I can reconnect with you guys and hopefully help anyone who is going through a similar situation.”
In her recent TikTok video, Emilie wore a necklace bearing her son’s name and explained that posting online is therapeutic for her, though she intends to maintain boundaries to protect her family’s privacy. “I’m taking things day by day,” she said, emphasizing the importance of reconnecting while also honoring her ongoing healing process.
Trigg Kiser tragically drowned in the family’s backyard pool on May 12, 2025. Reports indicate that he was unsupervised for over nine minutes, including approximately seven minutes in the water, before being discovered unresponsive. Despite efforts to revive him and hospitalization, Trigg passed away six days later on May 18.
Emilie Kiser publicly addressed the tragedy for the first time on August 28, 2025, expressing her deep sorrow and taking full accountability. She acknowledged that a permanent pool fence could have prevented the tragedy. Emilie has since filed legal actions in Arizona to keep certain details of the incident private while raising awareness about child safety near pools.
At the time of the incident, Emilie’s husband, Brady Kiser, was at home. The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office later decided not to file child abuse charges against him, citing insufficient evidence for prosecution. Emilie continues to advocate for child safety and has used her platform to support others who have faced similar heartbreaking losses.
After months of grieving, Emilie’s return to TikTok marks a significant step in her journey to heal while reconnecting with her followers. In her video, she reflected on her fear and vulnerability, noting that her online presence is now balanced with a focus on her family and personal boundaries.
