Francisco Cuoco died: Actor Francisco Cuoco died on 19 June 2025 at the age of 91 in São Paulo, Brazil, due to multiple organ failure at Albert Einstein Hospital after 20 days of hospitalization. His best roles were in telenovelas Selva de Pedra (1972), Pecado Capital (1975), and O Astro (1978).
He was born on 29 November 1933 in São Paulo, Brazil. His father, Leopoldo Cuoco, was an Italian fair trader. He attended high school and was studying Law but dropped out and decided to become a dramaturgy professional.
He completed his graduation, then worked in several theatre companies including Teatro Brasileiro de Comédia, Teatro dos Sete, and Companhia Nídia Lícia.
In 1962, he appeared in the film Pedro e Paulo as a supporting character. After this film, he featured in various films and television shows.
His popular films are Anuska, Manequim e Mulher (1968), Traição (1998), Gêmeas (1999), Cafundó (2005), and Real Beleza (2015).
His popular television shows are Selva de Pedra (1972), Pecado Capital (1975), O Astro (1977–78), and O Cafona (1971).
He worked in more than 100 television and theatre productions. He featured in more than 40 productions.
