Ali Shamkhani died: Iranian rear admiral, Ali Shamkhani died on 13 June 2025 at the age of 69. On June 2025, Israeli strikes on Iran, there was an attack on the house of Shamkhani. During the attack, he got badly injured. After that, he was taken to a hospital in Tehran (the capital city of Iran) for treatment and he passed away due to his injuries in a hospital.

Ali Shamkhani born on 29 September 1955 in Ahvaz, Imperial State of Iran and served as the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran from 2013 to 2023 and he was a member of the Expediency Discernment Council and political advisor of Supreme Leader of Iran from May 2023.
He supported political party Mojahedin of the Islamic Revolution Organization. He completed his engineering from Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz. He served as the commander of the IRGC navy and he ranked in rear admiral.
He also served the Minister of defence and Armed Forces Logistics from August 1997 to August 2005.
His son Hossein Shamkhani is Iranian oil magnate.
