Hollywood actor Chris Evans, best known for his role as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and his wife, Portuguese actress Alba Baptista, have officially welcomed their first child together a baby girl named Alma Grace Baptista Evans.

According TMZ and People , the couple’s daughter was born on Friday, October 24, 2025, in Massachusetts. Both mother and baby are reported to be doing well. The couple, who are known for keeping their personal lives private, have not shared photos of the newborn but confirmed the happy news through close sources.
Chris Evans, 44, rose to international fame for portraying Steve Rogers/Captain America in Marvel films including The Avengers and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Beyond his superhero success, he has received acclaim for roles in Knives Out and Defending Jacob.
Alba Baptista, 28, is a Portuguese actress known for her breakout role in Netflix’s Warrior Nun and her work in European cinema. She is fluent in five languages and has been recognized as one of Portugal’s rising international stars.
The two reportedly began dating in 2021 and tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in September 2023, attended by close family and friends.
Their daughter’s name, Alma, means “soul” in Portuguese and Spanish — a heartfelt nod to Alba’s heritage. The birth marks a new chapter in their relationship, as the couple embraces parenthood away from the spotlight.
Evans, who has often spoken about wanting to focus on family life, previously told People in an interview:
