She died peacefully on September 23, 2025, at her home in Nemours, France, surrounded by her children. The news was confirmed by her agent, Laurent Savry, who stated that she passed away from natural causes, though no further medical details were disclosed.
Claudia Cardinale’s family confirmed her passing, with her agent, Laurent Savry, stating that she was surrounded by her children at the time of her death. She is survived by her two children, Claudia Squitieri and Patrick Cristaldi. Patrick’s birth was a result of a traumatic experience during her teenage years, which she kept private for many years .
