Ed zebra: A pet zebra named Ed zebra ran away from home and was missing for more than a week in Tennessee. But on Sunday, the zebra was finally found and caught by its owners and the police.
Ed the zebra became very popular on the internet. He was found safely in a field near a neighborhood in the Christiana area of central Tennessee.
The sheriff’s office said, “Ed was airlifted and flown by helicopter back to a waiting animal trailer.”
Ed zebra’s owner is Laura Ford who said CBS News that Ed zebra was captured by the help of a team from Texas. Zebra is safe and 100% healthy.
Laura Ford’s husband is Taylor Ford.
Laura Ford said, “This has been a long, stressful week and I am so happy that it ended the way it did and no one got hurt.”
Ed the zebra went missing on May 31, 2025, just one day after arriving at his new home in Christiana, Tennessee.
He was found safe in a nearby field and captured in 8 June 2025.
