He was co-founder of the influential Electronic Body Music (EBM) and industrial band Nitzer Ebb.
He was known for That Total Age (1987), Belief (1989), Showtime (1990), Ebbhead (1991) and Big Hit (1995).
His full name was Douglas John McCarthy who born on 1 September 1966 in Barking, East London, England.
He was the son of a sheet metal worker and grew up in the county of Essex. He founded Nitzer Ebb in 1982 with Harris and Gooday. In 2012, he released his first solo album titled Kill Your Friends.
His singles Noise released on 2013 and recorded with Headman. His another singles are “Take Me Down” (2018), “Fall Rise” (2019), and “The End of Me” (2024).

He worked with Nitzer Ebb from 1982 to 2024 and also worked with with Terence Fixmer and released albums Between the Devil (2004), Into the Night (2008), Treibwerk (2012).
