Elon Dershowitz, a American film producer and son of renowned attorney Alan Dershowitz, passed away on August 17, 2025, at the age of 64 following a stroke. He died peacefully at home, surrounded by family.
Born on June 23, 1961, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Elon began his Hollywood career in the 1980s. He co-produced the critically acclaimed film Reversal of Fortune (1990), which earned Jeremy Irons an Academy Award for Best Actor. Over the years, he produced several films, including The Whole Truth (2015), and contributed to ESPN documentaries such as Break Up the Bombers and Pete Rose on Trial.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Carolyn Cohen, his brother Jamin and Jamin’s wife Barbara, as well as their children Lori and Lyle; his sister Ella and her husband David; his uncle Nathan; and cousins Adam and Rana and their families. Elon was unmarried and had no children of his own.
Known for his charm, wit, and generosity, Elon was also a magician, performing under the moniker “Elon the Pretty Good,” and had a passion for food, cinema, and basketball. He was deeply devoted to his family and friends, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.
