Former New York City Police Commissioner Bill Bratton wrote on X, “Like so many of his countless friends and professional colleagues, I was very saddened to learn of the sudden passing of former Buffalo Police Commissioner Rocco Diina. A fixture in American policing for decades, we will miss his wonderful, warm, friendly personality, his hospitality and generosity, and his love for and dedication to American Policing.”
