Kristian Eilertsen (born 1994) is a Norwegian communications consultant and youth politician who has held notable leadership roles in the Progress Party Youth (Fremskrittspartiets Ungdom, FpU) and runs his own consulting business in Harstad. His full name is Kristian August Eilertsen.
Early Life
He born on 4 August 1994, Kristian Eilertsen completed his higher education from University of Oslo (UiO) in Harstad, Troms og Finnmark, Norway, The University of Oslo (UiO) is Norway’s oldest and largest university.
In 2013, he launched Kristian Eilertsen Consulting, a solo venture offering communication, social media management, text production, political analysis, and media guidance.
Career
Rose to prominence within the Progress Party Youth (FpU) in Troms, where he served on boards including Harstad FpU and Troms county group.
By 2013, he was elected county chairman for Troms FpU, gaining attention for his political engagement.
In 2018, he stood for the position of national vice-chair (nestleder) in FpU, but was narrowly defeated. During that period, allegations of inappropriate behavior emerged, resulting in a formal warning but no loss of position. He issued a public apology for perceived misconduct. He Last elected as deputy representative in 2017. His Deputy representative number was 4 for Troms, 2017 – 2021, FrP.
Since founding Kristian Eilertsen Consulting, he has advised regional political figures, local businesses, and community initiatives in Harstad.
Involved in several enterprise and community boards, including Harstad Kulturhus AS, Harstad Havn KF, KS-Holding AS, and Troms Fp-r group.
Controversy
In June 2025, a major controversy erupted within Norway’s Progress Party (FrP) when former Troms FpU leader Arild Gregor Furfjord was expelled from the party with immediate effect. The decision followed allegations that, during a February FpU meeting, Furfjord referred to parliamentary candidate Kristian Eilertsen as a pedophile and stated that pedophiles should be shot.
He also allegedly presented several negative media reports about Eilertsen and argued for his removal from the party’s election list. Furfjord has strongly denied the accusations, claiming he never made such statements and called the process unfair. Both he and another expelled member have reported the matter to the police, asserting that the claims against them are false and politically motivated. The incident has exposed internal tensions within the party and drawn national attention.
