Frances Swaggart is an author who is known as the wife of Jimmy Swaggart, who passed away on July 1, 2025, at the age of 90 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, U.S., at the hospital in Baton Rouge due to cardiac arrest. On June 15, 2025, he was hospitalized in critical condition and never regained consciousness. His death was confirmed on July 1, 2025, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center.
Frances Swaggart married Jimmy Swaggart in 1952 when she was a 15-year-old girl and her husband was a 17-year-old boy. They welcomed their son on October 18, 1954, named Donnie Swaggart, who is also a preacher.
Jimmy Swaggart was an American Pentecostal televangelist and gospel music artist who also founded Jimmy Swaggart Ministries and Jimmy Swaggart Bible College. He wrote around 50 Christian books and sold over 15 million records worldwide as a gospel artist. He received one Grammy Award nomination.
