Hershey Company announced new CEO Kirk Tanner:
The Hershey Company (NYSE: HSY) has announced that Kirk Tanner will become the new President and CEO starting August 18, 2025. He will be taking over from Michele Buck, who earlier this year shared her plans to retire. To help with a smooth transition, Buck will support Tanner in an advisory role for some time.
Kirk Tanner is currently the President and CEO of The Wendy’s Company. In this role, he has focused on helping the company grow by strengthening the main brand, introducing new ideas, improving how things run in the restaurants, and opening new Wendy’s locations around the world faster.
Kirk Tanner is a highly experienced leader in the food and beverage industry. He worked at PepsiCo for over 30 years, where he held many important roles. Most recently, he was the CEO of PepsiCo Beverages North America, managing a huge $28 billion business. He was responsible for popular brands like Pepsi, Gatorade, Mountain Dew, Pure Leaf, and bubly.
As CEO, Tanner helped the company grow by building strong brands, creating new products, working closely with customers, and making sure everything ran smoothly in the market. He also changed the product lineup to match what modern consumers wanted.
During his time at PepsiCo, he also served as President of Global Foodservice, Senior Vice President at Frito-Lay’s West Division, and Vice President of Sales in the U.K. and Ireland.
