The news was confirmed by Stanley in an emotional statement shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, October 26, 2025, where he wrote:
“My dear friend, assistant and so much more for 30 years of tours and life — Danny Francis — has died after a brutal fight with liver cancer. I will miss him deeply.”

He worked as head of security for the legendary rock band KISS
While KISS became one of the most recognizable acts in rock history, Danny Francis worked tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the band safe, organized, and ready for every performance.
He began working with KISS in the 1980s, eventually rising to become head of security and personal aide to Stanley during the band’s major world tours.
Over the years, Francis built a reputation as one of the most respected figures in the live-music industry. He reportedly also worked with Paul McCartney, Bon Jovi, and Cher, earning admiration for his professionalism, loyalty, and calm presence in the chaotic world of rock and roll.
Members of the KISS team and fans from around the world paid tribute to Francis following the announcement. Many described him as the “backbone” of the band’s touring operation — a figure who made sure the stars could safely shine on stage.
