In a recent episode of the Good Guys podcast, actor John Stamos, who co-starred with Lori Loughlin on Full House, spoke candidly about her separation from Mossimo Giannulli. He said, “Lori is a saint. Whatever Mossimo did, it broke her to the core. She has endured a lot, and her strength and character throughout this challenging time are truly remarkable.” Stamos went on to describe Giannulli as a “terrible narcissist” and placed much of the blame for the college admissions scandal on him.
Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli have separated after nearly 28 years of marriage. The couple, known for their involvement in the 2019 college admissions scandal, are currently living apart but have not initiated legal divorce proceedings. A representative for Loughlin confirmed that they are “taking a break” from their marriage.
The separation follows the February 2025 listing of their Hidden Hills mansion for $16.5 million, which they had purchased in 2020 for $9.5 million. Reports suggest that Loughlin discovered incriminating texts and emails on Giannulli’s phone, prompting the decision to live separately.
Loughlin and Giannulli were sentenced in 2020 for paying $500,000 to secure their daughters’ admission to the University of Southern California by falsely presenting them as athletic recruits. Loughlin served a two-month prison sentence, while Giannulli served five months. Since then, Loughlin has gradually returned to acting, appearing in several TV productions and making public comments on forgiveness and resilience.
As of now, there are no formal divorce proceedings, and Loughlin is reportedly focusing on spending quality time with her daughters during this period of separation.
