He had his own television series titled Wayne Dobson – A Kind of Magic. He was born on 5 July 1957 in Leicester.
When he was a 16-year-old boy, he became the youngest-ever member of the Leicester Magic Circle. He competed for first prize in the close-up competition at the International Brotherhood of Magicians. In his career, he worked with Freddie Starr, Dame Shirley Bassey, and The Shadows. He also made guest appearances on television shows. He became a support act for Engelbert Humperdinck. He was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 1988. He also performed mugic in the 1989 episode on 27 May 2018.
In 2022, he began live performances again with a new theatre show at Haslemere Hall in Surrey.
