Mohamed Soliman Biography: Mohamed Soliman, whose full name is Mohamed Sabry Soliman, is a 45-year-old Egyptian citizen. He entered the United States on August 27, 2022, through Los Angeles International Airport on a B1/B2 nonimmigrant visa, which expired on February 26, 2023. However, he remained in the country illegally after his visa expired.
Soliman is the suspect in a violent attack that took place during a pro-Israel demonstration in Boulder, Colorado, on June 1, 2025. During the event, he allegedly used Molotov cocktails and a homemade flamethrower to attack participants. Six people, aged between 67 and 88 years old, suffered burn injuries as a result.
The police and FBI are treating the incident as a terrorist attack. Soliman was arrested at the scene and taken into custody. Authorities stated, “It is clear that this is a targeted act of violence, and the FBI is investigating it as an act of terrorism.”
Eyewitness Brooke Coffman described the chaos, saying, “Everybody is yelling, ‘Get water, get water.’ I saw four women with burns—one wrapped in a flag.”
Colorado Governor Jared Polis condemned the attack, stating, “Hate-filled acts of any kind are unacceptable.”
