Fox Entertainment has released the first official promo for Memory of a Killer, a new drama series starring Patrick Dempsey. The midseason thriller is set to join Fox’s 2025–26 lineup, promising a gripping blend of crime, suspense, and emotional depth.
When Memory Becomes the Deadliest Weapon
In the series, Dempsey portrays Angelo Ledda, a contract killer whose life begins to unravel after being diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. As his memory fades, the boundaries between his double life and his family’s safety blur — forcing him to confront the consequences of his violent past. The show is inspired by the 2003 Belgian thriller De Zaak Alzheimer, also known internationally as The Alzheimer Case.
The supporting cast includes Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos) as Dutch, Angelo’s longtime friend; Richard Harmon (The 100) as Joe, a fellow hitman; Odeya Rush as Maria, Angelo’s daughter; Daniel David Stewart as Jeff, Maria’s husband; Peter Gadiot as Detective Dave; and Gina Torres (Suits, 9-1-1: Lone Star) as Special Agent Linda Grant.
Memory of a Killer is developed by Ed Whitmore (Silent Witness) and Tracey Malone (Rillington Place). The series is produced by Warner Bros. Television in collaboration with Fox Entertainment, with executive producers Cathy Schulman, Arthur Sarkissian, Martin Campbell, and Peter Bouckaert.
The first promo debuted on October 24, 2025, during Fox’s World Series coverage. The network has announced a January 2026 premiere, though the exact date remains unconfirmed.
