Shawn Clark’s wife is Jonelle Clark. She is a former standout softball player at Eastern Kentucky University (EKU), where she was inducted into EKU’s Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008. Jonelle and Shawn Clark had been married for 17 years and had two children: a daughter named Giana and a son named Braxton.
Shawn Clark passed away Sunday at the age of 50. He had been hospitalized on September 9 following a medical emergency. UCF coach Scott Frost had previously stated that Clark was “doing OK, he’s in stable condition,” and sources close to him reported that he was making progress in his recovery. However, his death was described as “unexpected”, and Jonelle was reportedly at his side when he passed.
