Former NFL defensive lineman Arthur Jones, best known for his time with the Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts, has passed away at the age of 39. His death was confirmed by the Ravens organization on Friday.

In an official statement, the team expressed deep sorrow, saying:
“We are terribly saddened to learn of Arthur Jones’ sudden passing. Arthur’s presence was a gift to everyone he encountered. His big. bright smile, infectious energy and eternal positivity created a presence that continuously uplifted others. He was kind, courteous and enthusiastic always displaying a love for family, teammates and friends. We send our deepest condolences to the Jones family and all who loved Arthur.”

American former professional football player, Brendon Ayanbadejo commented, “Gonna miss your random messages talking about how much you loved being a great dad!!”
He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft and went on to play a pivotal role in their Super Bowl XLVII victory against the San Francisco 49ers in 2013.
Jones later joined the Indianapolis Colts (2014–2016) and briefly played for Washington in 2017 before retiring from the league.
Over his career, he recorded 173 tackles, 10 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles in 64 games.
He was the older brother of UFC legend Jon “Bones” Jones and NFL star Chandler Jones, both of whom have publicly shared tributes to their brother on social media, remembering his strength, humor, and unwavering faith.
