Tasie Lawrence is a British actress, musician and known as wife of American comedian and actor Jim Jefferies. She is best known for her breakout role as Mara Jaffray on Nickelodeon’s House of Anubis (2011–2013), as Vanessa Lennox on Shoot Me Nicely and as Jessica on Everything Before Us and as Danya on Good Kids.

She born on December 22, 1990 in Brighton, England. Tasie was raised in a creatively nurturing home by her parents Derek Dhanraj (of Guyanese heritage) and Rebecca Sinnatt (English), alongside her sister, Tasha Dhanraj, now a comedy writer.
She pursued her passion for music at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, earning a bachelor’s degree in music. Before her acting fame, she was signed to Island Records as a singer-songwriter and was part of the band The WooWoos.

Meeting Jim Jefferies: The couple met in Los Angeles in 2018 and bonded over mutual dislike for Piers Morgan Jefferies recalled that Tasie found him ten times more attractive after learning he’d told Morgan to “F— off” on Real Time with Bill Maher.
Marriage: They eloped in September 2020 at the iconic Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, known from Friends, and cheekily dubbed “the best 60 bucks I ever spent” by Jefferies.
