TikTok Down Outage: On May 15, 2025, TikTok stopped working for many users in the United States around 4:30 PM (ET). After this situation, more than 32,000 people reported problems. Most of people said the TikTok app was not working properly as like loading and videos were missing, or the app kept crashing.
TikTok has not told the exact reason yet but experts think it could be because of server maintenance, a software update and may be a security issue.
Many users of TikTok shared funny posts and complaints on X using the hashtag #TikTokDown. This showed how important social media apps are in our daily life.
The outage lasted for about 3 hours, and now TikTok is working fine again.
