Soham Parekh is a skilled Indian software engineer who works in United States-based companies. Allegations say he worked concurrently for up to 4–5 startups (many Y Combinator‑backed) based in the U.S.
Suhail Doshi (founder of Playground AI and ex-CEO of Mixpanel) posted on X:
PSA: There’s a guy named Soham Parekh (in India) who works at 3–4 startups at the same time. He’s been preying on YC companies and more. Beware.
I fired this guy in his first week and told him to stop lying/scamming people. He hasn’t stopped a year later. No more excuses.
Other founders from Lindy, Fleet AI, Antimetal, and Warp confirmed hiring him and praised his interview skills, but later fired him once they discovered he was juggling multiple roles.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mumbai and a master’s from Georgia Tech.
He is a software developer focused on open-source, machine learning, cybersecurity, and runs a tech blog/site called SohamP.dev.
Flo Crivello, founder of Lindy, said,
“Jokes aside, the real lesson from Soham is that we, as an industry, ought to do way more public shaming. I personally know 4 people(!) who got scammed by him. We’d have gone for another month if it wasn’t for @Suhail. So: I will now post publicly when I’m screwed over by someone in a way that’s objectively unethical—every time. It’s a community service.”
Matthew Parkhurst, the CEO of Antimetal, also shared his thoughts. He said Soham Parekh is very smart and likeable, but they had to let him go after finding out he was working at multiple companies at the same time.
Parkhurst joked,
“Hiring Soham has become like a new tradition. Any great company should experience it at least once!”
Michelle Lim, the Head of Product at Warp, said that Soham Parekh was hired on a trial basis, but as soon as the allegations came out, they immediately ended the trial and stopped working with him.
According to my mind, he is about 26 year old boy. He worked in defferent different companies at same time.
