South Korean actress and former reality show star Song Da-eun has once again become the center of online discussions following a viral video that reignited dating rumors involving BTS member Jimin.
Song Da-eun, born on June 14, 1991, made her acting debut in Park Chan-wook’s acclaimed film The Handmaiden (2016) and has since appeared in popular dramas like The Golden Spoon (2022), Be Melodramatic (2019), and Once Again (2020). She also gained recognition as a cast member of the reality dating show Heart Signal 2 in 2018, which significantly boosted her popularity.
Speculation about her alleged relationship with Jimin has circulated since 2022, fueled by social media clues such as matching accessories and similar posts. Although Song Da-eun addressed the rumors last year, denying any connection and expressing frustration with fan scrutiny, the controversy never fully subsided.
The issue resurfaced on August 26, 2025, when the actress uploaded a TikTok video that quickly went viral. The short clip, reportedly filmed inside Nine One Hannam, an upscale Seoul residence where Jimin is believed to live, shows Song Da-eun in an elevator as a man enters, exclaiming, “Surprised! Did you know I was coming in? I didn’t say it on purpose.” The video was later deleted but not before sparking intense debate among fans and netizens.
While some interpreted the post as a playful hint about their relationship, others criticized it for potentially violating privacy. HYBE, Jimin’s agency, has so far remained silent on the matter.
This incident has reignited broader discussions about celebrity privacy, fan behavior, and social media responsibility. As speculation continues, both Song Da-eun and BTS’s Jimin have yet to issue official statements regarding the latest controversy.
