Malcolm Willis biography: Malcolm Willis was working in sales. He is best known as the husband of television and radio broadcaster Wincey Willis.
He met Wincey Willis in a nightclub and married her in 1972, but later they separated.
His wife, Wincey Willis, died on 19 December 2024 at the age of 76 after a long battle with frontotemporal dementia.
Her full name was Florence Winsome Leighton. She was born on 8 August 1948 in Gateshead, County Durham, England. She grew up in Hartlepool and Barnard Castle. She was the adopted child of parents Florence, née Brown, and Thomas Dimmock.
She began working in North Africa as a travel rep. In Les Ross’s Saturday morning show, she appeared for the first time, then she joined Tyne Tees Television in September 1981. She presented the weather for the network.
In 1985, she appeared in the game show Treasure Hunt as an adjudicator, and she also worked with Anne Lucinda Hartley Rice and Kenneth Kendall.
After leaving TV-am in 1987, she worked in the title role in the Dick Whittington pantomime at City Hall in St Albans.

Her warmth, her energy, her sheer presence – Wincey had that unique gift of lighting up a room without ever trying too hard… I want the television industry to remember her properly – as a force of nature…”
