Ali Shadmani biography: Ali Shadmani was an Iranian commander. The Israeli Defence Force (IDF) claimed that top Iranian commander Ali Shadmani was killed in an overnight airstrike.
He was known as Iran’s “wartime chief of staff” and a senior commander in the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters.
On June 13, Ali Khamenei appointed him as the head of Iran’s wartime military command after General Gholamali Rashid had died.
Khamenei wrote in his post on the social media platform X, “In view of Lt. Gen. Gholamali Rashid’s martyrdom at the hands of the vile Zionist regime, and in light of Major General Ali Shadmani’s meritorious services & valuable experience, I confer the rank of Major Gen. & appoint him Commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya (pbuh) Central HQ.”
The IDF said, “He commanded both the Revolutionary Guards and the Iranian Armed Forces.”
Ali Shadmani was known as the “war chief of staff,” and he was Iran’s most senior military commander.
The IDF said, “In his various roles, he had a direct influence on Iran’s offensive plans targeting the State of Israel.”
The Israel Defense Forces announced on Tuesday that Iran’s War-Time Chief of Staff, Ali Shadmani, was killed in an IAF strike in central Tehran.
The IDF wrote on X, “For the second time in 5 days— the IDF has eliminated Iran’s War-Time Chief of Staff, the regime’s top military commander. Ali Shadmani, Iran’s senior-most military official and Khamenei’s closest military advisor, was killed in an IAF strike in central Tehran, following precise intelligence.”
