Trenton Abston biography: Trenton Abston is a 25-year-old man from Memphis, Tennessee. He has been arrested and charged with attempted stalking and kidnapping of Memphis Mayor Paul Young on June 18, 2025.
According to security camera videos, Trenton Abston was seen climbing over the wall into the mayor’s neighborhood and walking toward Mayor Young’s house. When he was arrested, police officers found a TASER, gloves, rope, and duct tape in his car. Currently, Paul Young is the 45-year-old mayor of Memphis, Tennessee.
When Trenton Abston came to his house door, Mayor Paul Young was inside with his wife and children; however, they did not answer the door.
After this activity by Trenton Abston, police arrested him on Wednesday.
The police department said, “We understand the concerns raised by this incident and want to reassure the public that the Memphis Police Department remains fully committed to the safety of all residents, including our city’s elected officials.”
Abston’s bail hearing is set for June 23, according to the Commercial Appeal.
