David Lawrence’s wife Gaynor Lawrence: Gaynor Lawrence is known as the wife of English cricketer David Lawrence, whose full name was David Valentine Lawrence. He passed away on 22 June 2025 at the age of 61 after a battle with motor neurone disease. In June 2024, he announced that he had been diagnosed with motor neurone disease, and by June 2025, he could not speak or walk.
Her husband was survived by Gaynor and his son Buster. His nickname was Syd. He was born on 28 January 1964 in Gloucester, England.
He mostly played for Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, where he picked up 625 wickets in 280 matches. He also suffered a severe knee injury while on international duty.
He was interested in playing cricket since childhood, and he began playing for Gloucestershire at the age of 17.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dave Lawrence MBE following his brave battle with motor neurone disease,” the family shared.
