Edward “Eddie” Osefo, the husband of The Real Housewives of Potomac star Dr. Wendy Osefo, has recently found himself in the headlines after being arrested on multiple fraud-related charges in Maryland.
Eddie and Wendy Osefo were charged with 18 counts of insurance fraud, including felony charges for allegedly filing false claims worth more than $300. The charges stem from a reported burglary at the couple’s home earlier this year, during which they claimed several high-value luxury items had been stolen.
Both were taken into custody on October 9, 2025, and later released after posting $50,000 bond each, according to court records.
Who Is Eddie Osefo?
Eddie Osefo is a Nigerian-American attorney, entrepreneur, and TV personality based in Baltimore. He is best known to reality TV audiences through his appearances alongside his wife on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Potomac.
A graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, Eddie holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in State and Local Taxation and has worked as an attorney for RSM US LLP. Beyond law, he is also the founder and CEO of The TKO Agency, a business consulting and brand development firm.
In 2023, Eddie launched Happy Eddie, a cannabis brand inspired by his nickname on the reality show — a venture aimed at promoting Black entrepreneurship in the legal cannabis industry.
He married to Wendy Osefo
Eddie and Wendy Osefo have been married since 2011 and share three children — sons Karter and Kruz, and daughter Kamrynn. On social media, Eddie often describes himself as a “husband, father, and serial entrepreneur.”
