Indonesian comedian and actor Temon Templar, whose real name was Simson Rarameha Ngadang, has died at the age of 59. He passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026.
Undercover wrote on Instagram, “Mourners have begun gathering at the family home to pay their final respects. Based on observations at the scene, relatives, friends, neighbors, and other well-wishers have continued arriving since the afternoon.”
“Temon’s body is scheduled to depart from the family home on Monday, July 13, 2026, for the funeral and burial ceremony.”
Temon Templar was a well-known figure in Indonesian entertainment, building a career that spanned television, film, comedy, and radio. He first gained recognition as a radio broadcaster before becoming a familiar face on Indonesian television through comedy programs and sitcoms.
He appeared in popular productions including Abdel dan Temon Bukan Superstar, Jawara, and Menolak Talak. Temon also acted in several successful Indonesian films, such as Comic 8: Casino Kings Part 1 and Warkop DKI Reborn: Jangkrik Boss! Part 1.
His humorous performances and distinctive comedic style earned him a loyal audience and made him one of Indonesia’s recognizable comedy entertainers. Temon Templar is survived by his wife and nine children.
